3. Data Accuracy and Limitations

Our facility information comes from the CMS Provider Data Catalog, state licensing databases, and other public records. We refresh data on a regular cycle, but government sources lag reality: facilities close, change ownership, and change their accepted payment types between refreshes. Specifically:

• Always verify directly with the facility — availability, pricing, insurance acceptance, and services before making any decision.
• SunsetWell Scores are analytical estimates built from public data, not guarantees of care quality or safety. See how we score for methodology and limitations, including the reduced confidence of assisted-living scores.
• CMS 5-star ratings are the only official federal quality ratings; our scores complement but do not replace them.

4. AI-Generated Content

Some content on this site — including personalized navigator guidance — is generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence, working from the public data described above. AI-generated content can contain errors and is provided for orientation only. Facility narrative summaries are composed programmatically from federal records. 5. How We Make Money

The site is free for families. We may earn revenue from clearly labeled advertising and disclosed affiliate or referral partnerships. Money never changes a facility's SunsetWell Score or its position in ranked search results. Our full policy is published at How We Make Money.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Submit false facility claims, reviews, or inquiry information
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service
• Misrepresent SunsetWell data as official government ratings when republishing it

Our open data exports are licensed under CC BY 4.0 as described on the data page; attribution is required.

7. Facility Profile Claims

Facility representatives may request to claim a profile. Claims are verified manually before any access is granted. Submitting a claim does not entitle a facility to alter inspection histories, scores, or other public-record data.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties; Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SunsetWell and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for decisions made in reliance on information found on this site.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
